Heres a brief overview of our history
Phase One: 1982 - 1990
One person, Robert Laughlin, developed the one day piano workshop concept and wrote all the courseware that drives it. He also taught all the workshops himself.
Phase Two: 1990 - 2006
Laughlin developed a way to teach this workshop formula to other piano teachers and performers. They invested a substantial amount ($5000) to learn how to market and teach these workshops. The investment paid off inasmuch as a very large percentage of these new workshop leaders went on to earn substantial incomes from doing the workshops. A few have strung together six figure ($100,000 and up) annual incomes solely from doing workshops.
Drawback I: Many teachers got tired of the amount of time spent in the office and on the phone, setting up new workshops. They wanted to teach, and they wanted to play. This office work is for the birds.
Drawback II: Many (starving) musicians and music teachers could not come up with the $5000 investment they absolutely needed to get started.
Phase Three: 2006 and beyond
Now we have the perfect solution. We are now booking the classes and hiring musicians to teach them. What that means to you is no dreary office work. No phones, no voice mails, no phone tag, no filing cabinets, no being holed up in your office day after day.
With our new plan we find the places to teach. After we give you the training, we will send you out to teach the workshop. You just show up an hour before the start of the class to set up, then teach the three hour class, then pocket your income and go home.
This plan will take a huge load off your day.
How much you can possibly earn depends on a number of factors, including your class size, and how often you teach. But we guarantee two things. First, youll be paid $100 minimum for any class you give. Well take that risk, so you wont have to. And second, there will be plenty of opportunities and incentives to earn substantially more.
