Instant Piano
(For Hopelessly Busy People)

If you yearn to experience the joy of playing piano, but you don’t want years of weekly lessons, this short course is for you. In just a few hours you can learn enough secrets of the trade to make piano playing a part of your life.

How is it done? Typical piano lessons teach you note reading, but piano professionals use chords. You will learn all the chords needed to play any pop song in this one session: any song. any style, any key. And you’ll get a healthy dose of insider secrets.

If you already know your way around a keyboard a little, you know enough to enroll in this workshop.

Here’s Debbie’s upcoming schedule for Instant Piano (For Hopelessly Busy People). Call the number listed for exact times, costs, and registration information.

Deborah Gruber has a Masters Degree in Music from Western Michigan University and owned The Coolidge Corner Music Studio in Boston, MA for 12 years where she taught piano and voice. She has performed in the Tanglewood Festival Chorus with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Seiji Ozawa in Carnegie Hall and Symphony Hall, as well as the Boston Pops under John Williams and Keith Lockhart.

Deborah directs the vocal jazz a cappella group “The Wicked Pitches” featured on WERS in Boston. They have performed at Scullers, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Harvard Club, Johny D’s and placed third in the 1997 Regional Harmony Sweepstakes competition. Deborah has been interviewed on Paul Perry’s morning radio show and WSSH. She believes that this popular approach to playing the piano is a highly efficient and creative way for adults and kids alike to learn how to “make music” and love it. Deborah has played the piano for over 30 years and has performed as an accompanist and jazz pianist. She has been teaching with the New School of American Music for six years.
